What should I do in the first hour?

Ignore vanity spends and follow the published Magic Loot loop in order. Your hour succeeds if you leave with a stronger Wand, at least one Index milestone claimed, and a clear sense of when the first Rebirth becomes available. The beginner video frames the same three beats — train, dungeon, sell/upgrade — then layers Index, Alchemy, Armor timing, and Rebirth on top.

  • Do01Train: Click LMB to raise Power; use training pads left of the dungeon for faster gains
  • Do02Dungeon: Clear linear multi-stage hallways; bosses drop better loot
  • Do03Loot: Pick up rare drops manually; sell filler for Coins
  • Do04Upgrade: Buy Wands (flat Power) and Armor (Power multipliers) with Coins
  • Do05Index: Track new materials in Collection Index to unlock backpack slots
  • Do06Potions: Brew consumables at Alchemy — some recipes lock behind Rebirth level
  • Do07Rebirth: Reset Power for permanent Power and Coin gain multipliers

First ten minutes

Spawn in the hub, open Settings only long enough to know where codes live (gear → Type Here → Redeem — none active as of August 16, 2026), then walk left of the dungeon to the training pads. Click LMB until early hallway enemies die in a few hits. Do not sprint into Stage 3 on Twisted Wand Power alone.

If you joined during a titled event window such as the Dino Event, treat cosmetics and temporary banners as noise until the core Coin loop is running. Event UI does not replace pad training or sell trips.

Minutes ten to forty

Clear as far as you can without wiping every pack. Pick loot manually — the game does not auto-vacuum drops. Fill two slots with the rarest or Index-new materials you see, return to the hub, sell filler for Coins, and buy the strongest Wand you can afford. Repeat. Full pad mechanics: Train Magic.

Expect short runs at first. Dying with two filler commons is fine; dying after walking past a new Index material because both slots were already full is the expensive mistake.

Close the hour

Open Collection Index, claim any ready backpack chests, and skim Alchemy so you know where potions brew later. If a Rebirth threshold is already lit, read the Rebirth section below before you click — Wands stay, raw Power does not.

Optional close-out: join the official Discord so the next code or balance note does not arrive three aggregators late. Then return to pads.

Next: how pad training actually works.

How do I Train Magic for Power?

Power is the number that decides whether a stage dies or kills you. You raise it by clicking Left Mouse Button. You can click anywhere, but the training pads on the left side of the main dungeon give more Power per click — that is the beginner default whenever you are not mid-run.

Train until the next stage feels cheap

A good rule: if a pack takes forever and you are dying before loot decisions matter, leave the hallway and pad-train again. Early Power is cheaper than a long death walk with a full backpack of filler.

Mobile players should still tap Train/attack on the pads — the Power math is the same; only the click cadence changes. If your hands tire, short pad bursts between sell trips beat one long unfocused hub AFK session.

Armor multiplies training later

Armor is a Power-gain multiplier, not classic defense, and it is expensive. Community beginner routes often delay the first Armor piece until dungeon runs print well over 100,000 Coins on average — until then, Wand upgrades and backpack slots usually move you farther. Details: Armor · Train Magic.

Apprentice Armor starts at 100,000 Coins for a 1.2x listed multiplier. That is a mid-game purchase relative to Wingbird or Trinity Silverbeak Wand prices, not a day-one impulse buy.

When Power is “good enough,” enter the dungeon with a loot plan.

How do I clear dungeon stages and pick loot?

The dungeon is one long hallway split into sections. You must defeat every enemy in the current area before the next opens. Bosses appear periodically — harder fights, better drops. Nothing auto-loots: walk over each item yourself. Deeper stages (Stage 3, Stage 5, and beyond) tend to introduce more material types for Collection Index, which is why backpack space compounds so hard.

Two-slot triage

At two slots, every pickup is a decision. Prefer materials you have never registered in Collection Index (duplicates do not advance milestones) and boss rares over common junk. Filler exists to be sold for Coins — do not hoard it while a new Index type sits on the ground.

Named material examples from community Index runs include Goblin Finger, Copper Earring, and Furnace Core — treat the live Index list as truth, but the rule stays: new type > duplicate filler.

Bosses are Coin and Index accelerators

Boss packs are where rare loot density jumps. If a boss gate feels unfair, leave, pad-train, upgrade one Wand rung, and return. Standing still in a wipe loop burns more time than a two-minute pad session. Boss habits deepen on Bosses.

Sell, then reinvest

When you cannot push farther or you die, return to the hub and sell. Coins buy Wands at the Wand station / HUD Wands button. That creates the cycle the beginner video stresses: better drops → better gear → deeper stages → better drops.

Spending order is the next decision point.

What should I buy first — Wands, Armor, or Index?

Coins are scarce in hour one. Use this decision table instead of buying the flashiest Armor you cannot yet farm for. The beginner progression tip is blunt: stronger Wands early, backpack through Index next, Alchemy when you need potions, Armor once dungeon income is already strong.

ChoiceWhat you getBuy whenSurvives Rebirth?
Wand upgradeFlat Power bonus stacked on avatar PowerAlways — strongest you can affordYes — keep the bonus
Collection Index claim+1 backpack slot after milestonesWhenever a chest is readySlots stay; farm materials again as needed
Armor piecePower-gain multiplier (not defense)After ~100k+ Coins per average runYes — keep the multiplier
Alchemy potionConsumable combat / grind buffWhen you have recipe mats (some need Rebirth level)No — consumable
Starlight Armor4x listed multiplierOnly if spending 799 Robux is intentionalYes — Robux purchase

Wand ladder (early Coin stops)

Default Twisted Wand (+1) is only for the easiest packs. Cheap early rungs include Wingbird (100 Coins, +5), Trinity Silverbeak (300, +12), then Abyssal Water (1,500, +30), Azure (5,000, +50), and Ember (15,000, +125) as Coin income rises. Epic stops such as Wings of the Tree God and Demon Trident appear once runs deepen — do not save for Apollo on day one. Full 24-row list: Wands.

Every Wand is a flat Power bonus stacked on avatar Power and kept through Rebirth. Buying the strongest Wand you can currently afford is the default beginner spend whenever Coins are burning a hole in the sell pile.

Index before vanity Armor

Collection Index milestones (examples like complete 7/9 or 10/13 for +1 slot) are how you leave the two-slot trap. Claim chests when ready. New material types only — see Collection Index and the short Index video tip on backpack growth.

The gap between two slots and a larger backpack is the difference between one boss rare per trip and a full sell inventory. Chasing weapons while ignoring Index is the classic slow route.

Alchemy is support, not the opener

Brew at the Alchemy station from dungeon loot. Named brew example: Dragon Breath. Stronger recipes can lock behind Rebirth level, so do not stall hour one waiting on late potions — Potions.

Keep farming ingredients if you want a steady potion supply; consumables do not replace a Wand upgrade.

When Power thresholds light up, Rebirth becomes the real fork.

When should I Rebirth for the first time?

Rebirth resets current Power in exchange for permanent multipliers on Power gain and Coin income. It feels bad the first time; without it, late progression stalls. Wands and Armor bonuses remain — you are not wiping your shop. Community beginner guides say to Rebirth whenever the option becomes available, then use the permanent boost to rebuild faster than the previous cycle.

SignalRebirth now?Why
Rebirth UI available / Power threshold metYes — take itPermanent multipliers beat more raw clicking
About to afford a big Wand you already farmed forBuy Wand first, then RebirthFlat Power keeps; threshold farming was the hard part
Index chest one claim awayClaim slot, then RebirthLarger backpack speeds the rebuild
Sitting on filler only, no upgrades queuedRebirthFiller sells; multipliers accelerate the next loop
Mid-boss with empty bag and no thresholdDo not force itFinish the run or pad-train to the real gate

Rebuild order after reset

After Rebirth: pads → early stages → sell → Wand ladder (you still own prior buys) → Index targets → next threshold. Your first post-Rebirth minutes feel weak because raw Power is gone; the multipliers and kept gear are why the second climb is shorter than the first.

If you were one Coin stack away from a Wand before Rebirth and you already banked those Coins into the shop, you start the rebuild with that flat Power still equipped — that is why “buy Wand, then Rebirth” appears in the table above.

Deep dive

Threshold numbers and payout tuning can shift in Beta — treat in-game UI as source of truth and keep Rebirth bookmarked.

Avoid the beginner traps below so you do not undo a clean hour.

What mistakes slow beginners down?

Scan this table mid-session. Most hour-one failures are inventory or spend order errors, not “skill issue” combat. If a tip contradicts a live Beta patch note from Discord, trust the patch note and re-verify the table later.

One habit that fixes most of them

Before every deep push: backpack space free, Wand upgraded if Coins allow, Power trained on pads. Two checks prevent most wasted runs.
